Our platform for the 2009 Regina Douglas Park and Saskatoon Riversdale By-elections focuses on five key areas:

Green Party of Saskatchewan candidate for Regina Douglas Park
Victor Becker Lau, long-time advocate for a Guaranteed Livable Income (http://www.livableincome.org/) believes "the urgency of dealing with environmental issues cannot be overstated, but we also need to take strong action to eliminate poverty now." His commitment to the Green Party of Saskatchewan is based on the party's credible policies as well as their strong stand on stopping Nuclear Power and ending uranium mining. Victor has attended the University of Regina and completed an Indian Health Studies Certificate and a BA in Social Sciences. He has worked at Superstore (east-end) in Regina for over 20 years as a Retail Clerk, is active in his union (UFCW Local 1400) as a Shop Steward for his members and was formerly the Labour Council President for Regina and District. A big donor and supporter of the Arts, he is active in virtually all progressive struggles to make society better. Victor now resides in the Heritage Community Neighbourhood with his wife, Heather, their three kids, and two loveable dogs named Mercedes and Penny. Victor and Heather also own and operate a pet services business
